I’m Zareen, co-founder of the Tailless Trails book series (ages 4 to 8). I’m an author and I also illustrate under the name Chase Americana. I’m a natural artist, but my academic and professional background started in neuroscience research, followed by a career in engineering. After a decade in the tech industry, I combined my knowledge with my innate talents to co-author and illustrate the books of Tailless Trails.

Tailless Trails was created through our discussions about a true story unfolding in front of us, about a cat without a tail, that showed up at our doorstep seeking help one afternoon. My efforts to release Book 1 of the series, “Sammy’s Voyage to a New World”, lead to my founding of BrainBloom Publishing. Through BrainBloom, I work with other authors to continue producing books that match the competitive qualities of Tailless Trails.

Whether through scientific research, software development, picture book illustration, or even independent journalism, the work I do is always fueled by my ultimate motivation to unlock freedom for the human individual — the endangered species in a reality where institutions are king.
